" Mum, are you just proud of me ? "

It has been a little while since Neah has asked me this question, but she used to ask me a lot. Am I proud of her ? Yes ! Undoubtedly !
It was her school awards night last night, we wern't really going to make a big deal about it. That changed when I picked her up from school yesterday and she told me her principal whispered to her she would be called up on stage to recieve an award.
Neah recieved 2 awards.

Neah recieved the 'platinum medal'. A few students are awarded this if they have recieved Positive Behavoiur certificates for each of the 4 terms this year.
Neah recieved the Principals Trophy for an earning an outstanding amount of Principals Awards through the year.
now ... what was it I was learning about being humble .... ; )

we wish you a merry xmas,

we wish you a merry xmas,
and a happy new year !
lots a luv's to all. us xx

Bailey's Prayer

I just have to share this gorgous prayer - then I won't forget it : )

On Monday I was relief teaching Grade 1 at Neah's school. The last activity in the program for the day was 'sharing news'. A little boy brought in a whole container of dead cicada shells to show the class (he wanted to put one on everyone's shirt - the dead 'claws' kind of cling ! )

He was the last to share news and it was home time, so I asked him if would like to pray before we went home. (We are a Christian School and prayer is always said at the begining of the school day, grace at lunch at prayer before going home).

Bailey's Prayer.

Dear Father in heaven,
We hope Miss Dennis gets really better soon, I know you can help.
Thank you for Mrs Modra coming in today to look after us, she's really fun.
Thank you 'spesshly' for bugs that don't bite. (Gorgous ! )
Make sure we get home safe.
Amen.

my babies - all grown up !

We did it ! This is to me an amazing thing - have managed raise these two little precious girls from tiny little 5 pound, 4 weeks prem babies to bright & happy school girls.
Last Friday, Marilla & Olympia had their orientation day at school. As you can see they were very excited! After Christmas they will start the Pre-Kinder program at school (where Neah goes) for 3 full school days every week. There was a very cute moment after they put on thier school uniforms - they just stood in silence and looked each other up and down. Would have love to known what was going on inside their thoughts!

Neah is also looking forward to her sisters joining her at school.

today . 22-10-07

is my happy birthday day. & a very happy one it was ! The kids insist it's not really a birthday unless u have cake, so I bought a $4 choc cake from Coles and let them decorate it with marshmallows. They had fun, & it was very cute. Unfortunatly Brad was away & will be home very late, so we had this little party all to ourselves!
Coming home from Thredbo this morning we stopped in at the Snowy Mountains Power Station to learn a little about our power and this huge poster was up in the info centre. Stating the obvious now, if we didn't know it before ... please.. please let it rain
side ways .... ooopsi. this is my hippy chick Rilla, dressed in her personal style ! dresses over jeans, with her haviana's !

Right now we are enjoying a wonderful little mini-break, we are pretty much at the top of Australia! Yes we are at Thredbo. And it is soo great and not so far from home, 2 and half hours and so much to do and see. We shall definatly come back more often. Look forward to the girls being a bit older so we can go to the Kosciuszko sumitt. The village itself is picture perfect.
more soon ! G'night xx

our twinlets turn four !

Yes it's been a couple of weeks since their birthday, busy times. ( and no I didn't get their bedrooms painted ... maybe in school holidays.) Olympia and Marilla really enjoyed their birthdays, the prezzies, the cakes, the party, the whole she-bang really. Birthdays were surely invented for four year olds! Marilla requested a 'fairy princess' cake. (and would not take off her brand new bike helmet .. Olympia's request was for a 'pink butterfly' cake.

' Rilla my rilla'

The next day at the Lake Hume wall, testing out the new bikes. from left, Olly, Rilla, Brad & Nanna.

' Olly-dolly '

We have had Brad's darling v. young 89 "and 3quarters" ! Nanna staying with us. She loves to help, and is a fantastic helper, tho unfrtunatley had a bit of an oopsi while weeding my rose garden. Well Nanna declared it 'just a scratch', but after insisting upon a look for myself - declared I was taking her in to hospital. And so there it is, we are feeling very badly. Nanna was admitted to hospital and subseqeuntly had a skin graft. Now, just a week later she really does seem to be 'just fine' ! And my rose garden is weed free ... wow .... but what a price!

Brad has gone solo! In the plane - apparently enjoyed it!
